How Grim.Cards Works
Grim.Cards simulates your MTG deck against a curated roster of meta decks using the Forge AI engine. Here is what happens when you run the Gauntlet.
Step 1 — Upload your decklist
Paste or upload your Commander or Standard deck as a plain-text list. Grim.Cards parses card names, resolves proxies via AI, and converts the list to Forge's internal format.
Step 2 — Gauntlet simulations
Your deck plays multiple AI-vs-AI matches against each meta deck in the Gauntlet. The Forge engine evaluates every game action — attacks, blocks, spell timings, and mana decisions — just as a skilled player would.
Step 3 — Power Score and matchup breakdown
After all matches, Grim.Cards calculates a Deck Power Score from 0 to 100 and assigns a letter grade. You also receive a per-opponent win-rate table so you can see exactly where your deck excels or struggles.
Step 4 — Coaching insights
The counterfactual learning system compares every decision made in the simulation against the alternative move. Patterns that consistently outperform Forge's default choices are surfaced as coaching suggestions you can review and adopt.
